ADITC Ltd Assessment Tools for
the Drilling Industry
ADITC has developed national
assessment tools for the Drilling Industry. All companies
wishing to have national qualifications awarded to their staff
should have a set of assessment tools available.
The Assessment Tools Templates were developed with industry
funding and industry advice and are copyright to ADITC
Ltd.
They have been nationally "noted" by the federal vocational
education training authority, Department of Education, Science and
Training (ANTA), as the official version for the
industry.
There is a CD with over 50 Assessment Tools templates
which contains how-to-use info. These can then be adapted for
each employee and printed out as the company needs. We can also
adapt the CD version with your company logos.
Each CD also contains a policy document called the Assessment
Guidelines for the Drilling Industry which describes how assessment
is to be carried out in the Drilling Industry.
These are like the Assessment Tools which the ADITC Ltd
developed for the DRT98 competency standards, but (with newer
technology) they are more flexible. They look like this:

The Tools
are used as a recording device to ensure that record of assessment
is available and maintained, to meet the legal requirements of
demonstrating competence of personnel. They can be used
either to demonstrate and record existing skills ('grandfathering',
or recognition of current competence) or, as new people come in,
can be used as a record of training and a reminder to cover all
necessary aspects. They capture all needed documentation to
supplement copies of other information that you would normally have
in company records (like copies of licences), and meet the legal
requirements companies have to show that they have trained their
personnel.
There is
one tool template for each competency standard. The tools are
called templates because they provide all the parts of the standard
against which people must demonstrate competency, and each tool can
be customised to input reference to the documents and training that
a company uses themselves.
The
templates have been produced in groups in line with the grouping of
Units of Competency in the Qualifications Framework and are then
subdivided by qualification. The structure is:
•
Common units - Certificate II, Certificate III, Certificate IV,
Diploma, Advanced Diploma
•
Method units - Certificate II, Certificate
III
•
Sector specific units and Advanced Diploma units.
On the
disc you will also find a Qualifications Framework which is a
description of the qualifications available in the Drilling
Industry. It describes how qualifications are made up and
shows how licensing fits in.
The cost is
$478.00 including postage and handling. There is no GST
component.
